The Pop Up Farm is a family run, seasonal event experience. It is owned by the Pigott family who have farmed in Hertfordshire for six generations. The Pigott family really enjoy re-connecting visitors with where their food comes from as well as providing a memorable experience to cherish and time in the countryside. There is something for everyone. It is good old-fashioned fun: fresh air and lots of space.
The Pop Up Farm is located in Hertfordshire on the A5183 / M1 Junction 9 (Harpenden) roundabout. We are the first exit off the roundabout after the M1 sliproad.

We are heavily signposted, so should be easy to find.
We are 30 miles north of London, 12 miles north of Watford, 26 miles south of Milton Keynes and 5 miles south of Luton.
The Pop Up Farm is a seasonal business and opening times can vary depending on the event.
Our planned opening for Sunflowers is Monday 25th August- Sunday 31st August (dependent on weather for blooming). Please visit www.thepopupfarm.co.uk for further details on opening hours for 2025 dates.
For our Sunflower Day Event, the site will close at least 1 hour after the end of the last time slot. For example, if the last ticket time slot in the day is 2pm-3pm the site will close at approximately 4pm. We recommend arriving as early as possible in your time slot to make the most of all the activities on site.
As long as it’s at least 48 hours before your event, you can easily make changes through your account.
Follow these simple steps:
- Log in to your Pop Up Farm ticket account.
- Go to ‘Orders’.
- Click on the order you’d like to amend.
- Select the ‘Move Dates’ button.
- Choose your new preferred date.
- Select your new timeslot.
- Choose the same ticket type (e.g. an Adult ticket can only be moved to another Adult ticket). Note: You can only switch to a ticket type of the same value. For example, an Adult ticket cannot be changed to a Child ticket or vice versa.
- Click ‘Submit’ to confirm your changes.
If you’re within 48 hours of the event, unfortunately, changes can no longer be made.
Yes, you need to pre-book tickets through our website. Tickets are not available to physically purchase on site, only online. We have a limited number of tickets per time slot, and to avoid missing out we recommend booking in advance.
All tickets to The Pop Up Farm are online only.

Yes, every guest attending needs to have a ticket to enter the event. Tickets for Under 2’s are free of charge, but they will need to have a ticket booked. Separate tickets are available on the website for guests between 2-13 years, as well as adult tickets for any guests aged 14+.
Yes. The Pop Up Farm is 100% cashless, so we do not accept cash payments. All major credit cards accepted (no AMEX).
Please make sure you have your tickets ready on arrival, either on your phone or printed. A team member will ‘zap’ your QR code.
Yes. Parking is free.
People generally stay at The Pop Up Farm between 1 – 3 hours. It is up to you, and you may stay as long as you like until closing. We have many activities on site to keep everyone entertained, and food and drink options to keep you fuelled.
Due to this being an outdoor event and the unpredictable English weather, suitable clothing and footwear is recommended. This may vary from wellies and umbrellas to sun protection (hopefully the latter).
Our sunflower and pumpkins events are outdoor events. We have limited seating under cover in our Red Shed.
Sorry, dogs are not allowed, with the exception of registered guide and assistance dogs.
No. Smoking and vaping are not allowed anywhere on site.
Yes. A selection of hot and cold drinks, hot food and sweet snacks will be available, including vegan and vegetarian options from our Pit Stop Cafe, located in The Red Shed. Card payments only. Picnics, food and drinks from outside The Pop Up Farm are not permitted.

Yes, there will be a qualified first aider on site. Please go to the Red Shed or find the closest team member if you have any concerns regarding first aid.
The Pop Up Farm is appropriate for most wheelchairs. Please be aware the ground will be uneven. We have disabled parking close to the entrance, please ask on arrival. There is limited indoor seating inside our Red Shed.
There are toilet facilities on site which will be cleaned and sanitised regularly. Baby changing facilities are also available on site.
No. Drones and flares are strictly prohibited.
All Professional Photographers will need to obtain prior permission from the event organisers and have paid the agreed fee. Please contact us via the website or social media for more information. Drones and flares are strictly prohibited.
Yes. The event will be going ahead in all types of weather, and we advise that you come prepared for all weather conditions.
